When I was proud of myself

On the 31th of august I woke and have a
breakfast then I got ready to go to my
last game of the season.We were versing
a team called ponsonby and the point was
7-10 and then after our game me and
my team  went to mcdonalds and and
then our coach give us some prize.

After we went to mcdonalds my manager
drop me off back to my house then my
big brother went to the shop and bought
me white t-shirt to wear to my
prizegiving.

When my brother went and bought me
white T-shirt I went and took a sleep
when my brother comes back then he
wakes me up when I woke up I was so
tired and and I had to go shower.

After I shower I dried up then I went
to get ready for my prizegiving and we
had to wear our marist hoodies after
when I get ready the we went to the
prizegiving.

When we reach to marist our team was
getting ready for the prizegiving there
was lots of people were at the bar and
the coach was also there for the
prizegiving.

The team were the is U9cap,boys
rippa team,U8,girls rippa team and
there was lots of parents were there.
First when they called out your team t
hey give you certificate.

And then they called out the
people that they get the trophy.The
people that get the trophy is that
improve and player of the years and the
kicker.

 When it's our turn all of our team get a
certificate and I got the trophy for being
number 10 in our team.And my mum was
so proud of me and I was so proud of
myself.

Our school Environment.

“Let start picking up rubbish” Said
Mrs.Sharma we should help Mike look
after our Environment at school. Recently
lots and lots of people throw their
rubbish after eating and Mike
always gets frustrated and depressed
when people throw rubbish everywhere.

Mrs.Sharma decided to do something so
we could helped Mike.Mrs.Sharma decided t
to make a rubbish monitor badge for the
people in Rm 6 who wanted to help Mike
look after our school.

On the next day Htoo say wah,Ana,Lino and Ana were helping mike picking up rubbish every morning and every lunchtime and Mike was cheerful and happy that Rm 6 agreed to pick up rubbish on every morning and every lunchtime. The rubbish monitor was thankful enough to give Mike a gift which were lollies included with a card in it. 


Hopefully our school people will learn to pick up their own rubbish.

...it all started on my rugby game.Last
week saturday me and my team went to
an island called waiheke.”I was too
excited to go on the big ferry.It was
beautiful to watch the ferry cut it way
in the water.It was chilly and  our team
had to wear windcheaters.The second
part of the journey was to hop on to the
bus to go where our game at.

We were versing a team called Bonsonpy
and when the game finished the score
was 5-7 and I was the Number 10 in our
team.The best thing in my game is when
my team tried their best to beat
pakuranga cause pakuranga was the
hardest team that we played.Pakuranga's
team has lots of fast people.Pakuranga
made it into the finals.

It was a tiring but a fun filled day very
good day.

We at tamaki primary celebrated the
tongan language week.Mrs tafea decided
to tell the kia toa syndicate that we are
going to do a mauluulu.We did the tongan
language on the big somerville hall.Some
of the tongan people dressed up like the
tongan people.And my mum came and
dressed me up as I was participating for
lots of dancing.My mum was so happy
and excited she was dancing and she give
me some money.

Tongan games

last week we had our tongan language
week.On lunch time when the bell rang
all off the school ran outside to play the
tongan games.There was lots of activity.
I am a fluent tongan so I was the one
that teach the kids on tolopato.Tolopato
is a game that it’s just simuler like
cricket but tolopato is different from the
cricket.in Tolopato you have to use your
hands to bat the ball.You have to get
into 2 teams

One team is batting and the other team
a the different team.When the game
starts you have to bat the ball with your
hands if the other team catch it your
out.If they don’t catch it then you can
run and if they throw the ball and it hit
you that means your out.And if you run
home base then your team got a point.
And if the other team get 3 people out
the the team swap with the other
team.

  

Human generator

 Today we had a human generator in our class.It had 2 bulbs.One bulb was LED and another was the normal bulb.We had to wound the wheel to generate the energy. The LED bulb took less energy but the normal bulb took lots of energy.This  show’s that we should use LED bulbs to save our energy.

 

Bike day.

Bike day!!

On monday 16th of september, after
morning tea A guy named Mike Greerer
from real estate came and brought us 25
new bikes. Room 5,6,7 and 8 had to go
down to the bike area and celebrate the
bike day.Once 

I got the bike I rode it. I wear on the
helmet and I was super excited to ride it.
once I                                                                                                                                                                                 got on the bike and started to ride it.Once i was on the track I pedaled as fast as I can on the bike after riding the bike my legs felt so tired.

So I went and got milo and biscuit and
ate it.After That I went to make a
badge we had to get a pieces of paper
and draw what we want.Then we had to
give it to the bike crew to stamp it
hardly to make your badges.After when
Rm 5,6,7 and 8 we went back to class
and then Rm 5 went back to get sausage
and then Rm 6’s next and then Rm 7 got
split up and after when we go get our
sausage the we stay there and eat our
sausage then Rm 8 came and and  and
get their sausage then they eat it.

       How to make a banana shake

- Half a cup of  Milk

• A cup to measure the Milk

1.you need to chod the banana into 3 pieces and put it in the blender.2 you need to pour half cup of the milk in the blender and turn it on.3 want the banana and milk dissolved and.

Filipe Tohi

On Tuesday  room 5,6,7 and 8 had an assembly

about Filipe tohi.He explained to us a little few of

his art,he showed us the material he used  to make

his art,He showed us the lashes which are called

kafa in tongan and that are made from the skin of

the coconut called pulu .Filipe tohi is famous  for

his art.Filipe tohi is an artist that makes patterns,

He is 60 years old. Filipe tohi has been an artist

since 1990.He made model of his grandmother,

by using steel and wood,The steel represent how

strong Filipe tohi’s grandmother was.Filipe tohi like to make art but also like to carve stuff and build.He also told us that the boys build the house and the girls weave and attached it to the wood hardly so that it doesn’t break,they also use the leaves of the coconut tree and make it as a roof of the house.Filipe Tohi Has traveled to samoa,china and many different countries or island.He also made a stunning model in New plymouth about the vaka meaning boat,Filipe tohi told us that he used a rock called ha'amonga which is a rock that has 2 side standing 1 side going across but up top of the standing part he used this material to make his carving art.
